About Saasi Richard

Meet The Founder

Go Amazing Africa was founded by Saasi Richard, a former Ugandan tour guide who spent years leading travelers across the breathtaking landscapes of East Africa. From tracking gorillas in Bwindi to navigating the hidden trails of the Great Rift Valley, Richard lived the adventure—and shared it with countless visitors from around the world.

Now based in California, and an American citizen, Richard launched this blog to bridge the gap between dreamers in the West and the realities—and wonders—of travel in Africa. This platform is not just about destinations. It’s about real advice, cultural insight, and authentic stories you won’t find in commercial brochures.

This platform is built on firsthand experience—every recommendation, tip, and guide comes from someone who’s actually been there. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning for more, this blog is your trusted resource to explore Africa with confidence, curiosity, and clarity.

Over the years, thousands of conversations with tourists from across the world planted a seed. Many asked the same questions:

  • What’s the real Africa like?
  • How do I plan my trip to make it meaningful?
  • Why don’t more people talk about this side of Africa?

Go Amazing Africa was born out of a powerful mission: To help people from developed countries experience the real Africa—the beauty, the adventure, the truth.

This is a gateway to insider knowledge you won’t find in guidebooks or generic itineraries. This is a platform created by someone who’s walked the red dust roads, danced with tribes, witnessed dawns on safari, and seen how a single well-timed recommendation can turn a trip into a life-changing memory.

I tell it like it is: what to do, what not to do, what to expect, and what will take your breath away.
